I cannot recommend Wetherham enough. Our 22 month old Springer Spaniel, Indy, had never stayed in kennels before and a friend told us about this place, as she happily boarded her dog there. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, Indy was made to feel at ease and comfortable, and the level of care and attention is outstanding. A wonderful, rural location, small and well run. Indy absolutely loved running around the large fields, as we could tell from the fb photos posted, which made us smile when we saw them! Thank you so much to Wetherham for looking after Indy so well, and we will definitely use them again! March 2023
Everyone was very friendly. Our dog has just spent his 1st week at the kennels. It was so nice seeing pictures of Benji on there website. We felt very happy leaving him there. Best kennels around fab staff and facilities. January 2023
I worked at Wetherham about 14 years ago briefly before moving, and knowing the standard of care, have been unable to find another kennels local to me in Cardiff I know travel down (3.5 hours) to drop my own dogs here when I go away. I have worked at other kennels and they are often not walked/ only let out twice a day compared to Wetherhams 5x

We were really nervous about leaving our pups on their own while we went away. But Wetherham Boarding Kennels were brilliant our dogs loved every minute of being there and they were cared for brilliantly. Safe to say we will definitely be using these Boarding Kennels again. We are very happy leaving our two doggies with their “other mothers”. They are always very excited when they arrive and happily go to their new accommodation. This is high praise indeed as one of the pups is a reactive dog. The staff and kennels are set up to care for her as she needs. I can leave my dogs with a light heart knowing they are happy. When we first moved to Cornwall my main concern was finding a 5* kennel facility for my two GBGV, I had checked a few out and was totally disappointed and shocked to see some of the conditions and the lack of security, during my search I had to travel back to Berkshire to 5* kennels I have used for the past 12 years, finally after 7 months of searching I was told about Wetherham, I went to check it out and meet both the owner and kennel manager, I can honestly say I was overwhelmed with the facilities, care, activities with the animals, so much land for free running in enclosed fields, plus total commitment from the team, I cannot thank them enough for the love, and cuddles they give to our four legged besties. What would I recommend about Wetherham Kennels? Absolutely everything! These kennels are great, All the staff are just brilliant and provide a real personal service to each and every dog they look after. Sonic, my 15 year old choc lab has been staying at Wetherham for about 12 years, at least 3 times a year and I cannot speak highly enough of Fredi and her wonderful team. During January, 2 days into our fortnight holiday in US, she unexpectedly became very ill, and initially it was thought to be a stroke. Fredi informed me immediately and her husband took Sonic to our vet in Bodmin. The next few days were very difficult but we were sent regular updates, texts, photos and videos of her progress. Initially Sonic was unable to stand or lift her head and required a lot of individual attention which the carers gave her in heaps. This was a dog owners worst nightmare, but upon return I collected a calm, happy dog who was walking and eating well and actually seemed reluctant to leave Wetherham! She was continued to make progress at home and I would not hesitate to recommend these kennels in the highest possible manner for the love and attention they give to every single dog in their care. Cannot recommend Wetherham highly enough. The facilities are clean, spacious and have immediate access to wide open spaces for exercise. Most importantly the staff genuinely care and go that extra step to ensure the dogs are happy. Our girls are high maintenance and the team are flexible and work around their individual needs. Always happy leaving our girls at Wetheram in the knowledge they will be well looked after. Had a few doubts as our eldest dog wasn't too well on the run up to our trip but we were reassured that she would be looked after and we returned to a different dog. We were very anxious at the thought that we would have to find a safe place for our little girl when the need arose. We ...tried home boarding and that was a disaster, so we asked around and Wetherham was recommended - rightly so. Summer can't wait to get through the door and is very happy to see her friends, staff and doggies alike. Kennels are very clean and the staff always have a smile and huge welcome for Summer. It's good to see pictures and videos of Summer enjoying playing in the fields. She comes home clean and in excellent health. I highly recommend Wetherham as does Summer. Zak has been coming here for many years and I cannot fault their service. Kennels always look clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Thank you so much for looking after our three boys whilst we had a lovely lazy time away from it all for three weeks. This is the boys second stay and it certainly won’t be their last. Don’t get me wrong we love these three like children but we do want to do some travelling and we feel extremely happy leaving them in your capable hands. It is obvious how much you all care for the dogs that you are looking after and our three came home in really great condition. When we left because they were staying for three weeks we came armed with clear instructions on how much to feed them, how we would like them walked, how many cuddles to give them lol and we know we may come over as slightly overprotective even bringing duvets for them which aren’t necessary due to the under floor heating but they came home looking as though they had had a great time. It was lovely as well that their duvets had been washed and all their toys etc were all waiting with them to be picked up. A major panic ensued when we realised Alfie had developed an eye ulcer just before we were due to leave but everyone at Wetherham was so calm and reassuring liaising with our vet that we were able to go away and still enjoy our holiday. Alfie was not the easiest of patients but we know how much you persevered with his treatment and were very grateful for the regular informative updates. We would have no hesitation in recommending Wetherham to our friends and will certainly bring the boys back when we next go travelling and in fact it was a recommendation from a friend that first put us in touch with you.

I think the dog on the long lead is my Maisie a 4 year old border collie This was her first time in kennels and i was dreading it. However I must thank Wetherham (Claire) she is back home and perfectly happy and back to normal phew! very relieved very pleased thanks Wetherham

My German Shepherd Murphy just loves Wetherham:) He is a little bit 'special' bless him, as are most Shepherds and is very, very vocal!! The care and love he receives at Wetherham is second to none, and whenever we go away we know he is in safe hands and although he is always pleased to see us on our return I think a little bit of him wishes he could stay! I have recommeded Wetherham to numerous friends (Izzy Burton & DJ Hurst I know have stayed and were really happy) and can only say look no further for tip top kennels! I have tried other kennels in my area (out of necessity as Wetherham Boarding Kennels in St Tudy were fully booked) but Wetherham Kennels are by far the best and are definitely my number one choice each time. My german shepherd Benjamin is a bit highly strung and has a special medicated diet but I can rest assured that when I leave him at Wetherham all the staff take brilliant care of him. Their facilities and accommodation are excellent and they understand the needs of the individual dog. They have a fantastic daily routine to ensure that the dogs in their care are walked and played with during the day and even if they do get a bit mucky on their idyllic walks; dried and cleaned – bedding and all. I highly recommend Wetherham Kennels, it’s home away from home for my dog; and when I’m missing him more than he is me all I have to do is go on Facebook or their website and see a picture of him enjoying his holiday (booked again for this Sunday coming).

We have been using Wetherham, run by Fredi and her excellent team, for about 5 years, and our golden retriever seems to love her "holidays" there, judging by the way that she greets the girls. They are a very caring bunch, and cope easily with any issues or problems our dog may have. The dogs are well exercised and ours loves running in the fields with her doggy friends.

Thank you and your team for looking after Jimmy recently. We really enjoyed the flexibility of being able to take him out for some good walks and then return him to his B&B. Thank you so much for looking after George last week. He had a lovely time at Wetherham and looked so well when we picked him up. We were delighted with the facilities, everything was clean and well run. It was great to see pictures of him out playing with other dogs having a ball (thank you for posting them on Facebook). After searching for the right kind of kennels for a while we feel we must just say a big thank you to you all for the 3rd successful stay of our two Springer Spaniels, Tess and Willow at Wetherham. Always so good to know that the dogs needs are met so well, especially the exercise that the breed demands. They are reluctant to come home, (Tess had to be lifted into the car!) Your facilities are second to none but we are always struck by the genuine enthusiasm and kindness of your staff. We look forward to another lovely stay soon! Hope you like the picture!

Having seen so many other kennels that were old and shabby with seemingly uncaring staff, it was a pleasant change to find such a nice place. Recently built and modern with caring staff which is very important to me as I have one dog who needs regular medication. My two Bernese Mountain Dogs get SO excited when we arrive at the kennels and just cant wait to be fussed and shown to their comfortable kennels. They love the long, off lead walks and attention they get from staff who have come to know them quite well over the couple of years we have been going there. I would highly recommend these kennels to anyone.

Thank you for looking after Breeze for Tom and I and please thank all the staff involved in looking after him on our behalf. I have mentioned your kennels to Celia Knox as she allows visitors to her cottage in Boscastle to take dogs with them. It does help when you can have the odd dog free day when you are on holiday. Breeze certainly was very relaxed about his first experience in kennels. Not sure what our plans for next year are but will certainly use your facilities the next time we holiday in Cornwall and yes that will be at Celia’s in Boscastle.

Hi girls, Thank you for looking after me so well and loving and cuddling me. I had a great time and have asked mum and dad to take me back to stay with you any time they want to go away again. They were worried about leaving me until they met you and saw where I was staying. Mum says thank you for washing all my stuff and putting me home cleaner than I went away. Dad says I have lost weight and am looking a lot better, the problem is he is not giving me as much to eat as he used to no matter how much I ask him. Just to say a special barking thank you for looking after me while my folks went away, I really enjoyed my time there especially the playtime with the new friends I made. Mom and Dad have made loads of fuss of me since I got home new treats and new toys which I love its great this holiday thing means I get spoilt more than ever, must do it again , so I really am looking forward to coming to see you again cant wait the kennels were so comfortable and of course the staff are great. Just like to say a huge thank you from me and my two babies for taking such great care of Sam and Maisie. 3 weeks is long time to leave them so I was hugely relieved when I saw how happy and healthy Sam and Maisie were.
